Passion Project: Why Talk Tea Speech Was Created

Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for coming to Talk Tea (@talkteaspeech)!

I had first created the Instagram for @TalkTeaSpeech in May of 2020 in order to hopefully reach more people when raising awareness for the importance of early intervention/speech therapy and how implementing strategies at home can make such a huge impact on a child’s overall development. I also wanted a space where my clients, family friends, friends who are parents, etc. could come to for speech therapy information, tips, strategies, and resources.

I quickly learned how supportive the speech community is and how everyone is willing to share ideas and so open to learning more. I am so grateful that other speech therapists/audiologists/OTs/PTs/parents on Instagram have shared strategies that I began to implement in my own speech therapy sessions. Seeing how beneficial this social media space is, I wanted to expand and put Talk Tea Speech on all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and now this blog – talkteaspeech.com) so that all of this information is easily accessible for YOU.
