✨a big little update 🥹: Things have been a bit qu ✨a big little update 🥹:

Things have been a bit quieter here lately…partly summer & partly because I’m pregnant 🤰🏻and the first trimester was filled with nausea 😅. #IYKYK

This season has me reflecting on both family and personal career goals. After a lot of careful consideration, I’ve decided to take a small step back from Talk Tea Speech.

I’ll be shifting some of my energy toward an exciting business venture with my husband while also soaking up these sweet days with our growing family. 🏡💕

Building Talk Tea Speech has been such a joy & a huge piece of my heart. You’ll still see me popping in & out though because I can never fully let go 🤣.

Thank you for supporting me, the podcast, my courses, & content all this time. 🩵 I’m so grateful for this community & truly excited for what’s ahead! 🥰

With love & joy,
Tiffany

Unfortunately there’s no way to know if your toddl Unfortunately there’s no way to know if your toddler will catch up on their own or if they could benefit from extra support…and by the time we know for sure, we may have missed a critical window. 💡

Early intervention is play-based, connection-focused, and often looks like…”just” playing! 🩵

It’s not scary for them. It’s fun, engaging, & supportive.

If you’ve been wondering whether to reach out to a speech therapist, this is your sign. ✨

“Is it clocking to you losers yet?” -toddlers, pro “Is it clocking to you losers yet?” -toddlers, probably.

If you know toddlers, you know they stand strong in their tantrums. Stay calm & hold your boundaries 😊💕💪🏼.

I know these phrases seem simple✨ (because they are), but they are effective for modeling speech with your toddler.

Speech/language modeling doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. Keep it simple & fun!

Enjoy 🥰🏝️

One of the most frequently asked questions speech One of the most frequently asked questions speech therapists get: “Will speaking in 2 languages confuse my child?”

The short, simple answer is: no. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Children are able to code switch, mix & match languages, etc. without it causing a speech delay.

One of my favorite things to hear from my 2 year old is “I want nai nai 🥛 “ (she’s saying “I want milk” in half English & half Cantonese). It’s so cute to hear!

She also hasn’t distinguished who in our family can and cannot speak Chinese yet so it’s funny to see my Irish Italian husband Joe learning all the words too 🤣.

So if you’re having concerns about bilingualism, you can be reassured that more languages = more beneficial than confusing! 🩵
