It’s less pressure for our little ones! 🩵 When they don’t feel like they’re being tested, they can then feel more comfortable to initiate communication without being “wrong”. Put your toddlers to work! 🙌🏼 Haha just kidding (mostly), but there are many opportunities to incorporate speech/language skills during household chores like laundry! 👗👖🧦 ✨You can: -Label familiar items: basket, shirt, pants, socks, water, bubbles; -Use action words: open, pour, close it, splash, weee, push, put in, take out; -Ask wh-questions (…sparingly 😅): where is your shirt?, where do you wear your socks? ☕️Our little ones loved to be involved and feel helpful! 🥹 Let them push/pull the laundry basket, help you fill the washing machine, push buttons, etc. 🤗 🎙️I talk about other ways to incorporate speech/language strategies in daily routines on the Talk Tea Podcast (episodes #34 & #41). 😊 🎧You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, & more).
